Glorious Winter Weather

The weather this weekend has been fabulous and today the blue skies certainly had me out and about and in the mood to get a few things done. First up, coffee and a little time in the garden, admiring the orchids.

This is my favourite, the original plant has been divided and repotted many times in the last 25 years. This stalk was picked to take to a friend.

A quick look around to see what needs to be added to the 'to do' list in the garden. The parterre hedges can always be trimmed and weeds removed. Luckily it is a small garden and easily managed. This year we intend to plant more vegetables in each of the the parterre sections.

Whenever I visit someone I like to take a little gift - these Anzac biscuits are a perfect, this time they were jazzed up with some dried fruit and have melted chocolate spread over the base. I made lots so that there will be plenty for supper with the Twisted Sistas.
