Just made it. There have been various Oktoberfest activities around the area, mostly in the middle of the month but somehow I seemed to not have the bratwurst or the sauerkraut and the opportunity until now. However, better late than not at all.

Just how I like them, lovely fat bratwurst/sausages split in half, with mustard along the middle and served in a fresh roll with warm saurkraut.

Many years ago the man of the house travelled to Germany. The stein  has managed to survive many moves and renovations to the house.  I take good care of it - it is perfect for storing my knitting needles.
