On The Road Again

From Perth to Margaret River and places in between.

Yarn bombing in Bunbury

This work, Memento mori for Bimblebox by Emma Lindsay, at the Bunbury Art Gallery caught my eye, a representation of the endangered black-throated finch.

Cowaramup, a small town with a sense of humour. Lots of fibreglass cows along the Main Street. Those outside the shops had corresponding ear tags.

According to the Tourist Information Guide there is much to see and do in and around Margaret River. We had plenty of time to check out a few things before we needed to get to our accommodation. First up, Nuts and Cereals, for a tasting of all sorts of fancy nuts and then Margaret River Silk Road, a silk farm and tourist complex. Excellent silk products and a sideline of tasty mulberry preserves. I spotted this little fellow, and other more camera shy ones, in the ponds at the front of the complex. I can't  remember the last time I saw a frog that wasn't in a tank.

And as we were there

A shrine to all things chocolate.

Tastings and all manner of chocolates and chocolate related merchandise

Beauty products, Lots of books

And apparently

After all of this I needed coffee

Wise words and good coffee from one of the many coffee shops in Margaret River.
