Showing the Love

For Valentines Day

Some honey hearts 

Or vanilla 

Even the coffee shop is feeling the love.

Honey Biscuits
250 g butter, soft
1/2 cup raw sugar / caster sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup SR flour
2 cups plain flour or 1 cup wholemeal plain and 1 cup plain
Cream butter and sugar, beat in the honey.
Stir in the flour and keep working until you have soft dough.
Divide dough into two balls and place each ball between two sheets of baking paper. Rroll out to 4 mm thickness.
Place dough on a tray and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
Remove dough from the fridge approximately 10 -20 minutes and allow the dough to soften enough so that it can be to cut with a cookie cutter.
Cut out shapes and place on a tray lined with baking paper.
Freeze cookies.
Bake at 160 deg C until golden brown. Place cookies on a cooling rack to completely cool.

Decorate with a dust of icing sugar or a thin layer of icing.
