The flowers from the last sweet peas were gathered and then packed into a jar with water and sealed and set aside for a couple of months. Over time the dark purple flowers faded and the water turned a dark inky colour.
The jar was opened, the liquid strained into a clean jar, a silk scarf and a reel of silk thread added and then the jar was resealed and left for another two months.
To my surprise the silk turned a soft green colour.
