Only One to Go (that I know of)

Continuing with the baby quilts and using the soft shaggy edge technique. I want these quilts to be used so have made quilts that invite parents to put them on the floor, the cot or to use as a lap quilt until they wear out. Many of the quilts that I have made as gifts for a new arrival have been 'kept for good'  despite the reassurances that all the quilts that I make are fully machine washable and can be dried in the tumble dryer if necessary. It is a pity as I would much prefer them to be dragged around and used.

This quilt is called Kitez, designed by Jan Mullen and one of the collection of Stargazey Quilt Patterns. I think that the patterns are great for children and have made many quilts using her patterns and techniques. The original pattern is made in the traditional manner, however, I like the shaggy edges and have used the technique and fine cord to create the soft and cuddly look.
