Striped Doocot

I have had this jumper finished for awhile but it has been too warm to wear it. It is knit in an 8ply cotton with yarn that was leftover from a series of baby blankets that I made some time ago. 

There was insufficient of either the blue or the white to knit the garment but enough if knit in stripes. This is not in my usual colour palette but is perhaps a lighter more summery addition to my wardrobe. The pattern is Doocot, adapted from a Kate Davies design. This my third knit using this pattern.

It is an easy knit and ideal for those occasions when a simple project is required. I mostly knit when I am a passenger in the car or watching tv.
