It Has Been Awhile

It has been a couple of weeks, no particular reason just day to day life, family and a commitment to finish a few projects. So what have I been up to? Lots of fun stuff and what became a mammoth celebration of a my birthday and it was not an ‘0’ birthday. So I may have been quiet but I have been busy enough.

An open garden. Claremont, an historic house and garden set on an acre in inner Geelong.

So much to look at, as you would expect with an acre to ramble around.

A totally enclosed vegetable garden, perfectly possum proof.

A hot house, full of vibrant colour

A workshop

An opportunity to meet and discuss indoor plant management. So pleased to have two of his top five. You can read more about Jason here

Some art

Linocut blocks and prints

Lots of coffee dates

The first of my celebrations, a trip to a market an lunch at an Ethiopian restaurant, a taster of the things to come on my forthcoming trip to Africa.

A little celebration and art swap, photo courtesy of the missing member of the group.

Some baking and recipe development.

Some preserving, this pear paste just one of the many preserves that now fill the pantry and freezer.

More cake, what is a birthday without cake and candles. Oscar is always ready to help Nanna blow out the candles.
