A Celebration

Today was the first day of my retirement from teaching. A celebration seemed a good idea.

Fortunately, today was a half day in my new job, there was time for afternoon tea at a Spot for Joe. My usual coffee and today a little treat. A Salted Caramel Cookie Sandwich made by Butterbing. How convenient, the cafe had a new line of treats on the day of retirement celebrations - Vanilla next!

Some thought a bubbly drink was needed. Very welcome after a spot of shopping.

We had planned to have dinner out, but it has been a big week and there was all this delicious seafood purchased on my jaunt to the shops.

Spanish influenced seafood stew on rice - lots of baby octopus, prawns and swordfish. Delicious.
