We love a little and sometimes not so little getaway. Another trip to Margaret River, Western Australia. We have travelled to this region before and enjoyed it immensely. This was a first - with a very early plane to catch we opted for a ‘limo’ to get to the airport, normally we would take a shuttle bus but it turned out to be cheaper option when spread across four travellers and then we flew into Busselton, another first. The plan for the first few days, Busselton, Yellingup and Margaret River and then a long drive down to Denmark. Busselton is famous for it’s pier. Two kilometres long and an easy walk to stretch the legs after a long flight.
Last time we visited the region we stayed at Smith’s Beach, Yallingup, we enjoyed so much we booked it again. We usually stay two or three days in each place and explore. Same unit but not sure if they are the same magpies but I tell myself they remember me.
Beach walks and beach combing, lots of impromptu arranging of the found objects.
Forests and reserves for walking.
Along with the wineries are coffee shops, what is a holiday without coffee and sometimes cake?
