A New Knit

I like to have a knitting project on the go all year round. This is a pattern that I have knitted several times. It is adapted from a pattern by Kate Davies  called Doocot. 

I love a tunic dress for Winter and this is finished with plenty of cold weather ahead.

A stash buster. This one is knit in 8 ply  and used up several oddments of yarn. There is still some green left.

Maybe I should have blocked the garment before the photo shoot but one has to take advantage of a sunny day and having the photographer / husband on hand.

The pattern is knit top down.  The photo that I used to decide if it was long enough. This is the original neck with a stripe but I found it a bit high and too hot so unpicked and made a lower neck.
