This One Stayed Home

This is one that have on our bed. It is a version of Pickle Dish / Indian Wedding Ring which is a block pattern that was commonly made during the 1930's and 1940's and even much earlier. As with this quilt it is made with reproduction 1930's reproduction fabrics and has lots of yellow combined with small pieces of a a variety of coloured prints, the background is an off white homespun and this is more typical of the era.

and here is a close up

The quilt is machine pieced and hand quilted. As you can see the design is based around interlocking circles and is similar to Double Wedding Ring, another very popular design of the era.
